Torremolinos is one of the most popular seaside destinations on the Costa del Sol, known for its beautiful beaches, lively atmosphere, and excellent tourist facilities. Stretching for almost 8 kilometres (5 miles), the coastline features a well-lit beachfront promenade with cycling and skating lanes, beach bars, and traditional chiringuitos serving delicious local cuisine.

Los Álamos Beach offers a more relaxed atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for visitors seeking peace and relaxation throughout the year. During the summer season, it becomes a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts, with activities such as windsurfing and kitesurfing available along its sandy shores.

Located between La Carihuela and Playamar, El Bajondillo Beach is one of the most visited beaches in central Torremolinos. Measuring approximately 1 kilometre long and 40 metres wide, it offers convenient access to local shops, hotels, and beachside facilities. Visitors can enjoy the Mediterranean sea breeze and savour freshly caught fish and traditional Andalusian dishes at the beachfront restaurants and chiringuitos.

Benalmádena Costa is home to the majority of the area’s attractions most importantly the golden sandy beaches. Many restaurants and bars serving food from all over the world are present in the area. Chiringuitos or local seafood restaurants on the beach are famous in the area. The friendly, relaxed and chill atmosphere all year makes it one of the most beloved destinations for families.

Benalmádena indeed has everything like top-quality beaches, the modern and outstanding Puerto Marina, a Casino located in Torrequebrada, several golf courses, amusement parks such as Tivoli World and Holiday World Beach Club, and plenty of attractions like Sea Life, Parque de la Paloma, and Butterfly Garden making sure that all visitors have an unforgettable experience during their stay.

At the Benalmádena beach you can visit the Castle Bil-Bil, an Arabic style building, which is adorned with fountains and is decorated according to Nazari tradition. Another building of great interest in Benalmádena is the Castle of Colomares, dedicated to the discovery of America. La Carihuela Torremolinos Spain Chill Afternoon April 2024 Update | Málaga [4K]

An old fishing district located to the southwest of Torremolinos municipal area, La Carihuela has become one of the most visited summer destinations in Costa del Sol.

Its inhabitants relied on the fruits of the sea until the explosion of the tourist boom in the 50s, during that time the development of restaurant businesses began which is mainly based on fish and the famous fried fish or “pescaíto frito.”

The neighborhood of La Carihuela was then made up of a row of small houses and shacks on the floor. During the early 1950s the construction and rise of hotels on the orchards of the area began, which followed by the promotions of apartments and building of new homes. These hotels include Hotel Pez Espada (1957), Hotel Carihuela Palace (1960), Hotel Tropicana (1961), Hotel Tres Carabelas (1962), Hotel Montemar, and Hotel Miami.

The La Carihuela promenade is considered as one of the places of interest in the neighborhood, along with the Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen. Both easily accessible to everyone.

Defined by its summer beach scene, La Carihuela draws locals and tourists for its weather along with the spectacular sea views, hutlike chiringuitos that serve local cuisines, and different water sports activities. Kiosks, rental services of sunbeds and water equiment such as pedal boats are available for every holidaymakers.

Malaga City Port Spain Relaxing Afternoon Update October 2022 | Costa del Sol | Andalucía [4K]

Málaga port lies on the Costa del Sol coast of the Mediterranean. It is considered as the oldest continuously-operated port in Spain and one of the oldest in the Mediterranean.

A beautiful promenade lined with shops, restaurants and bars stretches out alongside Málaga’s port, forming the Muelle Uno mall, just a short walk from the city’s historical centre. During the weekends, local artisans and merchants share stalls at the Mercado Semanal, a local market selling different goods, handmade products and clothing. Enjoy the best of open-air shopping as you idly watch cruise liners come and go.

Different cafes and chill out bars can be found at Palmeral de las Sorpresas, the Pérgola de la Victoria is also located there. It can be easily seen due to its amazing awning structure with zig-zag style. It is in this area where most of the cruise ships dock.

Adjacent to the promenade lies an 18th-century Baroque church, Chapel of Muelle Uno, constructed from sandstone from a nearby quarry. As you continue along the marina, Muelle Uno extends to La Farola, the 38-metre-high 19th-century lighthouse of Málaga.

One of the first resorts in Costa del Sol to be developed, Torremolinos indeed is still the most popular in the region. With the beach that extends nearly 8 kilometers (5 miles), Torremolinos offers plenty of services for each and every one, including cycle and skating lanes, plenty of bars and local chiringuitos, live music events and water sports activities.

The beaches of Torremolinos is packed during the summer season. Playa de Bajondillo gives way eastwards to the beach of Playamar and Los Álamos.

The promenade by the sea extends west behing the expansive and popular beaches of Montemar and El Saltillo, and continuing as far as Benalmádena Marina. This area is known for its excellent seafood restaurants and chiringuitos!

Benalmádena is one of the main tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol, famous for its leisure establishments, which include various amusement parks, two aquariums, casino, a cable car, and one of the largest marinas in Andalucía.

Benalmádena Marina, most known as Puerto Marina is characterized by its particular architecture that has been recognized globally, especially among European tourists. It houses different establishments such as hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, shops, Maritime Captaincy, the Benalmádena Maritime Yacht Club, a luxury residential area, and the Sea Life Benalmádena aquarium.

Defined by its summer beach scene, La Carihuela draws locals and tourists for its weather along with the spectacular sea views, hutlike chiringuitos that serve local cuisines, and different water sports activities. Kiosks, rental services of sunbeds and water equiment such as pedal boats are available for every holidaymakers.

Benalmadena Spain Busy Afternoon Update March 2022 Costa del Sol | Málaga [4K]

Benalmádena is one of the main tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol, famous for its leisure establishments, which include various amusement park, two aquariums, casino, a cable car, and one of the largest marinas in Andalucía.

Populated since the prehistoric times, Benalmádena underwent a remarkable development during the time of Muslim domination, a development that would later be paralyzed after its incorporation into the Crown of Castile in the year 1485, because of various natural distasters and the intense activity of the corsairs in the area. The cultivation of the vineyard and the paper industry would later reactivate the economy of Benalmádena during the 18th and 19th centuries, but the greatest demographic boom in its history would be caused by the growth of tourism from the second half of the 20th century.

The municipality’s population boom began in the 50s with the development of mass tourism on the Spanish coast. During the time many established hotel, restaurants and businesses were opened, among these were Hotel Triton (1961), Tivoli World amusement park (1973), Torrequebrada casino and hotel (1979), Selwo Aquarium, Sea Life Aquarium, Cable car, Hotel Alay, and Chollocasa real estate agency. In the early 21st century, many more businesses were constructed. Parque de la Paloma is a more recent addition to the attractions, a landscape park with a large lake where visitors can interact with animals.

The coastal area of Benalmádena is known by the name “Benalmádena Costa” and concentrates of the bulk of hotel establishments. The Benalmádena Marina is found here, as well as the promenade tha crosses the municipality from the limits with the neighboring municipalities.

A town located between Fuengirola and Torremolinos, Benalmádena has lots of great beaches and a wide array of services and accommodation for the tourists. The coastal area of Benalmádena, known by the name “Benalmádena Costa” is home to the majority of the area’s attractions such as its beautiful golden sandy beaches. Plenty of restaurants and bars serving international cuisines are present in the area. “Chiringuitos” or local seafood restaurants on the beach are famous in the area. The amiable, relaxed and chill atmosphere all year makes Benalmádena one of the most beloved destinations for families all-year round!

Aside from top-quality beaches, Benalmádena also has an outstanding Puerto Marina filled with shops, restaurants and bars, a Casino found in Torrequebrada, some golf courses, amusement parks such as Tivoli World and Holiday World Beach Club, and various fun attractions like Sea Life, Parque de la Paloma and Butterfly Garden. All of these can be found within the town of Benalmádena to make sure all visitors can have a memorable experience during their stay.

At the Benalmádena Costa, tourists can visit the Castle Bil-Bil, an Arabic style building adorned with fountains and decorated according to Nazari tradition. Another building of great interest in Benalmádena is the Castle of Colomares, dedicated to the discovery of America. This construction creates a grand visual impact by combining all architectural styles.
