Unseren diesjährigen Sommerurlaub verbrachten wir in Torremolinos, Andalusien.
Torremolinos ist ein bekannter Ferienort an der Costa del Sol in Südspanien und gehört zu der Provinz Malaga.
Malaga befindet sich wenige Kilometer von Torremolinos entfernt und ist auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert. Mehr dazu im nächsten Video.
Torremolinos ist ebenfalls für seine langen Strände bekannt, die an zahlreichen Bars und Beachbars anknüpfen. Somit ist für jeden etwas dabei. Stand up paddle – Verleih, sowie E-Bike-Verleih vorhanden. Hier kann man tolle Küstentouren mit dem Fahrrad machen. Sehr zu empfehlen.
Eine ebenfalls zu empfehlende Nachbargemeinde ist Benalmádena. Hier findet man jede Menge Ausgehmöglichkeiten für die ganze Familie. Zudem gibt es dort einen sehr schönen Hafen (Puerto Marina Benalmádena) – Probiert hier unbedingt das Mexikanische Restaurant “Cantina Mexicana” aus!
In Torremolinos und Umgebung gibt es auch zahlreiche Wasserparks, Vergnügungsparks oder Wassersport-Angebote – von Jetski über Bananaboat, bis Parasailing.

As I stepped into the port area of sunny Benalmadena, Spain, I was immediately captivated by the lively ambiance that surrounded me. The air was filled with the invigorating scent of the sea, and the sound of boats gently rocking against the docks created a soothing rhythm. Walking along the vibrant promenade, I couldn’t help but admire the colorful fishing boats and luxurious yachts that dotted the marina. With each step, I felt immersed in the rich maritime culture of this charming coastal town, surrounded by palm trees and quaint cafes offering picturesque views of the azure Mediterranean waters and the rolling hills beyond. Benalmadena is one of the most interesting areas on Costa del Sol. It has plenty of green areas, space, tourist attractions and the most beautiful sports harbour on the coast. It is divided into three urban areas: Benalmádena Pueblo, Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmádena Costa. The most worth visiting of these is Benalmádena Costa with its long stretch of sunny beaches, a lively nightlife and excellent cuisine.

Straightforward, welcoming and carefree, Benalmádena has come a long way since the 1980s and 1990s. Today, this modern resort is a forward-thinking destination that has added oodles of culture, style and charm to its incumbent “cheap ‘n cheerful” starting point. Bordered by Torremolinos and Fuengirola, Benalmádena Costa’s architectural make-up is unashamedly distinct.
While its neighbours streaked ahead in the package holiday race, Benalmádena grew at a more considered rate – today, the promenade is wide and spacious, backed by a long line of superb cafés, bars and restaurants, and fronted by a huge beach.
The award-winning Puerto Marina yacht harbour combines living and office space, plenty of restaurants, several bars and shops and even a Sealife Centre. Beyond this, the wide tree-lined streets are fresh and modern, hinting at a classically Spanish influence but quite international in their make-up.
The atmosphere throughout town is impressively welcoming, with a distinct family-friendly feel evident at every step.

A BOLD statement I know, but if you are heading to Spain for your holidays and looking for the best restaurants, bars and Cafes that won’t break the bank and will be in keeping with your holiday budget, then The Drunken Sailor is THE PLACE TO BE! It’s without a doubt the best homemade food I’d say in SPAIN! The magic ingredient is LOVE, the couple that own this BRITISH PUB put their heart and soul into this business and when they say home made food, they mean it! The Best Full English Breakfasts, Meat Pies, Ploughman’s Lunch, Homemade Jam roly-poly, Sticky Toffee Pudding, food just like your Mum used to make. A town located between Fuengirola and Torremolinos, Benalmádena has lots of great beaches and a wide array of services and accommodation for the tourists. The coastal area of Benalmádena, known by the name “Benalmádena Costa” is home to the majority of the area’s attractions such as its beautiful golden sandy beaches. Plenty of restaurants and bars serving international cuisines are present in the area. “Chiringuitos” or local seafood restaurants on the beach are famous in the area. The amiable, relaxed and chill atmosphere all year makes Benalmádena one of the most beloved destinations for families all-year round!
Aside from top-quality beaches, Benalmádena also has an outstanding Puerto Marina filled with shops, restaurants and bars, a Casino found in Torrequebrada, some golf courses, amusement parks such as Tivoli World and Holiday World Beach Club, and various fun attractions like Sea Life, Parque de la Paloma and Butterfly Garden. All of these can be found within the town of Benalmádena to make sure all visitors can have a memorable experience during their stay.
At the Benalmádena Costa, tourists can visit the Castle Bil-Bil, an Arabic style building adorned with fountains and decorated according to Nazari tradition. Another building of great interest in Benalmádena (Pueblo) is the Castle of Colomares, dedicated to the discovery of America. This construction creates a grand visual impact by combining all architectural styles.
