El Palo Malaga Spain Sunny Day November 2023 Update Costa del Sol | Andalucía [4K 60fps]

Málaga is a modern and cosmopolitan city with corners that have managed to preserve their essence. This is the case of El Palo, a fishing neighborhood whose history is closely linked to the sea and where traditions remain intact.

El Palo beach stretches for more than a kilometer from Pedregalejo to the Gálica stream. The warm waters characterize this strip of the Costa del Sol coastline, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy all kinds of services, walk along its promenade or take a dip in the sea.

As if it were a picturesque picture, you will be able to contemplate the boats of the fishermen who still fish in the area sharing the landscape with the jábegas , a traditional boat from Malaga. Converted today into pleasure or competition boats, these typical rowing boats have their origin in Phoenician times and you will recognize them by the two eyes that decorate their keels.

Visiting one of the beach bars in El Palo is mandatory if you want to discover the most authentic Málaga. The extraordinary freshness of seafood and the ways of preparing Victorian anchovies, red mullets or squid make this popular neighborhood one of the best areas to try fried fish.

Sitting in one of these restaurants facing the Mediterranean, enjoying a good fried food or a skewer of sardines, is almost a ritual. One of the most unique bars is El Tintero, where the waiters announce the freshly cooked dishes, further impregnating the atmosphere with the smell of the sea. You will also find many other traditional establishments in this area. Any of them will be a safe choice.

One of the most special nights is that of June 23, the eve of San Juan, in which the residents of El Palo go to the beach to receive the summer. Tonight it is a tradition to bathe in the sea at midnight and light bonfires that lead to the burning of the “júas”, dolls made of rags and other materials.

Around July 16, the Marine and Sports Festivals of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of fishermen, arrive. If you have the opportunity to visit Malaga on these dates you cannot miss the sea-land procession of the image. After touring the streets of the neighborhood, the one also known as Star of the Seas is paraded aboard a jábega, an impressive sight.

Other notable events on the El Palo calendar are the El Palo Flamenco Festival, also in July, and the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Festival. Both are perfect opportunities to discover the idiosyncrasies of one of the most popular neighborhoods in the capital of the Costa del Sol.

Benalmadena Spain Fantastic Day Summer 2023 June Update Costa del Sol | Málaga [4K 60fps]

Benalmádena is one of the main tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol, famous for its leisure establishments, which include various amusement park, two aquariums, casino, a cable car, and one of the largest marinas in Andalucía.

Populated since the prehistoric times, Benalmádena underwent a remarkable development during the time of Muslim domination, a development that would later be paralyzed after its incorporation into the Crown of Castile in the year 1485, because of various natural distasters and the intense activity of the corsairs in the area. The cultivation of the vineyard and the paper industry would later reactivate the economy of Benalmádena during the 18th and 19th centuries, but the greatest demographic boom in its history would be caused by the growth of tourism from the second half of the 20th century.

The municipality’s population boom began in the 50s with the development of mass tourism on the Spanish coast. During the time many established hotel, restaurants and businesses were opened, among these were Hotel Triton (1961), Tivoli World amusement park (1973), Torrequebrada casino and hotel (1979), Selwo Aquarium, Sea Life Aquarium, Cable car, Hotel Alay, and Chollocasa real estate agency. In the early 21st century, many more businesses were constructed. Parque de la Paloma is a more recent addition to the attractions, a landscape park with a large lake where visitors can interact with animals.

The coastal area of Benalmádena is known by the name “Benalmádena Costa” and concentrates of the bulk of hotel establishments. The Benalmádena Marina is found here, as well as the promenade tha crosses the municipality from the limits with the neighboring municipalities.

Benalmádena Marina, most known as Puerto Marina is characterized by its particular architecture that has been recognized gloablly, especially among European tourists. It houses different establishments such as hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, shops, Maritime Captaincy, the Benalmádena Maritime Yacht Club, a luxury residential area, and the Sea Life Benalmádena aquarium.

Marbella Spain Beautiful City Summer 2023 July Update Costa del Sol | Málaga [4K 60fps]

Marbella is known as a glamorous resort town and is a favourite location with the rich and famous, boosted by foreign residents who are seduced by the lifestyle. But there’s plenty for ordinary folk to see and enjoy too in southern Spain’s answer to St. Tropez.

The old town with its narrow cobbled streets and flower-filled plazas is packed with delightful shops and art galleries selling pretty clothes and accessories, and handmade wares. One of the prettiest spots is the fabled orange tree-filled Plaza de los Naranjos, which is located just off the main street and is home to the 16th-century town hall and tourist office.

As a popular holiday destination it is no surpirse that Marbella is teeming with restaurants, in Marbella you can find anything from Latin American to Morrocan to Oriental cuisine as well as the traditional Spanish and Andalucian, there is something for every palette, even Michelin-starred restaurants such as El Lago Marbella, Restaurante Skina, and Messina Restaurante to name a few.

And of course, the beaches are second to none – most visitors come to Marbella to enjoy the sun, sea and sand, which has been drawing expatriate communities since the 1950s when Prince Alfonso de Hohenlohe fell in love with the place and built a beachfront house, drawing all the starriest Hollywood celebs.

Marbella has it all: beaches for familes, couples, friends and singles alike. Marbella beaches include some water sports centres, all have chiringuitos (beach bars), there are a handful of luxury beach clubs, many beach-front restaurants and beach-front hotels. Some of the beaches have been awarded Blue Flags.

La Carihuela is a town found in Torremolinos. An old seafaring neighborhood located to the west, most specifically in the south-west part of the town. It is a good place to walk because of its wide promenade where you can reach El Bajondillo until Los Álamos on one side, or Benalmádena Puerto Marina on the other.

The inhabitants of La Carihuela originally lived off the fruits of the sea: the delicious fish and shellfish provided by the Mediterranean at the extremes of Málaga Bay. However, the growth in tourism form the 1950s paved way to new possiblities – with restaurants and chiringuitos (local beach restaurants) opened where locals and toursits could enjoy the fresh fish.

Although the town has been modernised, the original essence of La Carihuela still remains today and that can be seen through the traditional shops and narrow alleys that are typical in Andalucía. The town also offers a wide variety of quality fish dishes, a gastronomy experience that must not be missed.

Fuengirola is a beautiful town and municipality on the Costa del Sol in the province of Málaga, in the autonomous community of Andalucía in southern Spain. It is located on the central coast of the province and integrated into the region of the Costa del Sol and the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol Occidental.

It is a major tourist resort with more the 8 kilometers (5 miles) of beaches and a medieval Moorish fortress. The area has subtropical Mediterranean climate with temperatures reaching from 18ºC to over 30ºC during the summer.

Fuengirola has a number of historical sites and open parks, and as well as the old port that is still used by the local fishermen. At the seafront, many high-rise blocks of flats can be found, and many narrow streets are filled with low-rise villas.

Benalmádena Costa, as the name suggest is the 10km coastal strip of Benalmádena municipal district. Benalmádena Costa runs along the sea front between Torremolinos and Fuengirola.

Benalmádena Costa is synonymous with Benalmádena in the eyes of most tourists.

The town of Benalmádena covers an area of almost 30 kilometres and extends from the Sierra de Mijas down to the coastline of the Mediterranean.

Situated between the towns of Torremolinos and Fuengirola, Benalmádena is just 19 kilometres from Málaga Airport and is connected to all of the coast’s major resorts by the local train and bus services.

Rich in beautiful and attractive beaches, gardens, theme parks and a stunning marina, Benalmádena is one of the most popular tourist resorts on the Costa del Sol.

The population of nearly seventy thousand is concentrated in three main centres: Benalmádena Pueblo, Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmádena Costa.

Benalmádena Costa is one of the most cosmopolitan areas on the coast and famed for an abundance of British bars and restaurants. The heart of the resort is the extensively equipped Puerto Marina and there one will find dozens of restaurants and bars serving food from all corners of the world. One will be spoilt for choice in the Marina, there are steak houses, pasta and pizza trattorias and noodle bars mixed with traditional fish and seafood restaurants.

Benalmádena Puerto Marina rates amongst the best in the world, proof of which is the fact that it is several times winner of the ‘Best Marina in the World’ award. With 1,100 moorings for boats of all nationalities and up to 6 meters long, Benalmadena Port – ‘Puerto Marina’ is one of the Costa del Sol’s busiest centres by day and night. For the energetic, the nightlife carries on in sophisticated bars and clubs.

In the 1960s, Fuengirola started to become a principal tourist center, eventually having the expected facilities for eating, lodging, and entertainment. The town has wide beaches along a promenade extending east and west from the town, that also includes smaller adjacent villages.

Especially during the summer, the town plays host to crowd of visitors both Spanish and foreign, but in particular British. Almost 25% of registered inhabitants in the municipality come from other countries, mainly European (England, Ireland, Scotland, Finland and Sweden, among others), and also from Morocco and Argentina.

Fuengirola has a number of historical sites and open parks. The old port is still used today by the local Spanish fishermen. The Arab castle of Suhayl, or Suhail (Sohail), remained an abandoned ruin until renovations began in the year 1995. In 2000 the interior of the castle was completely renovated and the Sohail Castle began to host festivals, events and concerts throughout the summer. Furthermore, additional landscaping was completed in 2002.

The town is largely urban in character, with many high-rise blocks of flats near the seafront and elsewhere. There are some narrow streets with many low-rise villas. Considerable commercial and housing development is underway further inland. The town is very accessible by bus coming from different parts of Málaga, Marbella, Torremolinos, Estepona, and Gibraltar. There is also a commuter rail service starting from the Málaga city center, run by Cercanías Málaga. And the closest airport is the Málaga-Costa Del Sol Airport.

The Spanish city of Málaga is a Mediterranean seaport on the Costa del Sol in the Andalucía region of southern Spain. It is the 2nd most populous city in Andalucía, the 6th in Spain and more importantly, a significant tourist destination. This beautiful city is also famous for rich architectural history, Mediterranean cuisine, local wines and sandy beaches.

Declared as one of the oldest cities in the world, the city of Málaga enjoys a rich traditional and cultural heritage. The city was founded in 770 BC by the Phoenicians, and has seen numerous civilizations such as Arabic, Roman, Christian, etc.

The magnificent city of Málaga is a world apart in itself. The culturally rich coastal city in the autonomous community of Andalucia was once described by the poet Vicente Aleixandre as ‘a paradise between the sky and the earth.’

Málaga truly is a sunlit paradise with miles and miles of enchanting shoreline, mesmerizing scenery, and pristine beaches. The region enjoys a mild climate throughout the year as it is snuggled between the two river valleys (Guadalhorce and Guadalmina) and is surrounded by the mighty mountains, thanks to its geographical location. It has numerous parks, exciting landmarks and plenty of places for sightseeing which makes it an ideal place to spend a family vacation.

The city has presented several distinguished people like, painter Pablo Picasso, Andalusian poet Solomon Ibn Gabirol and Hollywood actor Antonio Banderas.

The Mediterranean resort town of Torremolinos in southern Spain’s Costa del Sol region is a sunseeker’s haven. Boasting an enviable mix of green spaces, cultural sights and coastal views, Torremolinos is an ideal destination for your next summer holiday. More than just warm Mediterranean coastline, the resort region has a rich blend of family activities as well as a beating nightlife for young travellers.

Torremolinos, just south of the central city of Malaga, has many amazing seafood restaurants and hotels along the waterfront La Carihuela village. The pedestrian-only Calle San Miguel is a bustling shopping district that leads directly to Playa Bajondillo.

Discover the bustling centre of Torremolinos Old Town that stretches from the seafront promenade. Starting along the section known as Paseo Maritimo del Bajondillo, make your way in toward the oldest section of the town to stroll along the pedestrianised Calle San Miguel. It’s lined with restaurants and bars, as well as shops ranging from jewellers and fashion boutiques to souvenir stores and delicatessens.

As you meander the streets, you’ll also cross paths with Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, an 18th-century Andalusian neoclassical-style church in a small square at the end of Calle San Miguel. Another historical point of interest is the only remaining trace of Torre de Pimentel (Tower of the Mills), which dates back to the 1300s.

Málaga is located in Andalucía, south of Spain. It is also known as “the capital of the Costa del Sol.” An estimate of six million tourists visit the city every year to enjoy the climate, the sea and its beaches. Málaga is also the largest and most populated coastal city in southern Spain.

This beautiful city has two thousand-eight hundred years of history and considered as one of the oldest cities in Europe. A walk by the old town is a must!

Málaga experienced the greatest civilizations of the Mediterranean, from the Phoenicians and the Greeks to the Romans, due to its strategic location of the port, a significant area along the trade routes since the ancient times.

The city center of Málaga is a place where you can see lots of interesting places. Málaga is rich in culture, modernity and historical monuments.

Its history dates back to the Phoenician times, and later passed onto the Romans and Arabs who left part of their culture and constructions. The capital of the Costal del Sol, Málaga was in the end conquered by the Catholic Kings in the year 1487, leaving an incomplete cathedral due to the lack of funds back then, known as “La Manquita.” The are also a numerous monuments to visit, including the Alcazaba Arabic Castle and the Gibralfaro castle.

Pablo Picasso was also born in the city of Málaga, the Plaza where he used to play as a child still exists today, as well as his house which is now a museum that is accessible today for everyone.

The Calle Larios offers a mixture of well-known chain stores and boutiques for shopping, and cafetería’s and ice cream parlors as well. Through its streets you can find more shops and restaurants and bars.

Málaga has also some of the best tapas bars in the country. Much of which is fish and shellfish due to its Mediterranean location. At the center of the town, a wide range mix of restaurants, from traditional Spanish and seafood, to Moroccan, South American, and Asian cuisines respectively.
