Los Boliches Fuengirola Spain Pleasant Day April 2024 Update Costa del Sol | Málaga [4K]

With a history going back to the Phoenician and Roman times, Los Boliches has for many years been a fishing village and still holds strongly with its traditions. Now it is favored by many foreigners and Spaniards alike to set up home. Los Boliches has indeed retained much of its original charm unlike some other parts of Fuengirola where it is dominated by high apartment blocks.

The site of archaeological remains of a salting factory is a reminder of the area’s rich historical past. The Phoenicians and then the Romans have lefts plenty of evidence of their settlements and lifestyle.

Los Boliches boasts some of the finest beaches in Fuengirola. Many holidaymakers come all-year round to enjoy this popular beach resort area.

The most lasting heritage in Los Boliches is the tradition of the fishing folks who have lived there through the generations. Until today, fishermen catch fresh fish which is then served in ‘chiringuitos’ and restaurants and bars.

Los Boliches Fuengirola Spain Pleasant Day Spring Update May 2023 Costa del Sol | Málaga [4K]

Los Boliches is a town that is a part of the municipality of Fuengirola. An old fishing village Santa Fé de los Boliches, most known as ‘Los Boliches,’ is found at the seafront area to the eastern side of Fuengirola centre.

With a history going back to Phoenician and Roman times, Los Boliches has been and still is a fishing village that holds strongly with its traditions. The site of archaeological remains of a salting factory is a reminder of Los Boliches’ rich historic past. The Museo de Historia, found near Bioparc Fuengirola tells the rich history of Los Boliches town and its neighborhood.

This place boasts some of the finest beaches in Fiengirola. Both spacious and easliy accessible to all. It is home to well-integrated year round residents, both Spanish and foreign alike.

The Parish Church of Carmen y Santa Fé, located at the Avenida de los Boliches, is the center of the neighborhood and it is from there that the Virgin is carried during the Fiesta Virgen del Carmen, held each year on the 16th of July.

The most impressive and lasting heritage in Los Boliches is the local tradition of the fishing folks who have lived there through the generations. Until today, fishermen catch bountiful fresh fish and is served at local beach bars and chiringuitos. Between the main street and the beach there are plenty little narrow streets filled with the vibrant Andalucian atmosphere and with variety of local seafood and fresh fish dished to choose from.

The Monument to the Peseta, located on the Paseo Marítimo de Fuengirola was created by local artist and sculptor José Gómez Guerreo in 2007. It was the first monuted created dedicated to the old currency that disappeared in 2002 due to the introduction of the Euro.

It is favoured by many foreigners and Spaniards alike to set up home. Although much investment has gone into improving the facilities and general infrastructure in Los Boliches, it has retained much of its original charm and is not dominated by high apartment blocks, as in some other parts of Fuengirola and the coast.

The Parish Church of Carmen y Santa Fé is the centre of the neighbourhood and it is from here that the Virgin is carried during the Fiesta Virgin del Carmen each year on the 16th July.

As well as some of the best bars and restaurants to choose from, Los Boliches also boasts some of the finest beaches in Fuengirola.

Although very much a popular beach resort area, Los Boliches also has a reassuring sense of permanence. It is home to well integrated year round residents – Spanish and foreign alike – many of whom originally came at one time for a holiday and could find no reason to leave.

The site of archaeological remains of a salting factory is a reminder of this area’s rich historic past. The Phoenicians and then the Romans have left plenty of evidence of their settlements and way of life, to remind today’s tourist of the origins of Los Boliches.

Los Boliches Fuengirola Spain Chill Town Update 20 May 2022 Costa del Sol | Málaga [4K]

Los Boliches is a beautiful fishing town that is part of Fuengirola. It has 7km of wonderful sandy beaches and located just 17km from the airport of Málaga.

Now that the summer is approaching with longer daytime, you can spend the day on the beach and hire a sunbed. The beach is also family-friendly and there is something for everyone.

Don’t forget to try some typical fried or salt baked fish dishes at a seafront “chiringuito” restaurant or the traditional grilled sardines, cooked on an open fire on the beach.

Los Boliches has plenty of winding streets filled with shops, bars and restaurants, catering for every taste.

The weather in Los Boliches is wonderful and the average temperature is 18ºC-26ºC the hottest being in July and August.

Malaga City Spain Christmas Lights 2021 Christmas Holiday Destination Costa del Sol | Andalucía [4K]

Málaga Christmas Lights are one of the highlights of the festive period specially those in Calle Larios and are world famous for the spectacular light and sound show. They are officially switched on last Friday, 26th of November.

Once again, with the winter “Christmas Forest” as the design, Calle Larios stuns us with the light show that includes 342 aluminium and glass leaves illuminated by special LED lighting, more than 100 aluminium suns ranging from 1 to 4 meters in diameter with lighting on both sides and the impressive structure also feature angels. The above housed in a structure composed of 22 12.8-meter-high aluminium arches and 1000 12-meter-long LED strips of light. During the day, the aluminium used is designed to reflect the sunlight and create a unique daytime light show.

The recently renovated Málaga Alameda, the main avenue, has a new Christmas look too! With elegant lighting and beautiful decorations made up of more the 500 strings of hanging led lights designed to reflect the sunlight so that they can be enjoyed during the daytime as well!

Calle San Juan is also one of the stars of this year’s Christmas celebrations. It has two different settings: the “Enchanted Garden” and “Salón de Arañas” (Spider’s Salon). The street is filled with colorful hanging structures resembling fruit, the warmth of candle-fueled bulbs, barroque-style lamps and more than 200 Edison globe bulbs are just some of the stunning features that can be found on Calle San Juan.

Many visitors come from Europe not only to see the Christmas lights in Málaga, but also to see, feel, and enjoy the festive atmosphere unique in the city.

Locals and tourists also enjoy the Chirstmas in Málaga by visiting any of the many Christmas Markets in the city. Most of these markets can by found in the Paseo del Parque, but there are many others in each municipality. In these places, everyone can take advantage of their Christmas shopping from handicrafts, novelty items, sweets, delicatessen snacks and so much more!

Los Boliches beach is located between Las Gaviotas beach and Fuengirola beach. It is equipped with lots of sports amenities. The beach is approximately two (2) kilometers in length and forty (40) meters in width. Near the area many restaurants, hotels and seaside promenade are found.

The beach has easy access and an area that adapts to people with reduced mobility. Sunbeds and beach umbrellas can be rented, as well as paddle boats to enjoy. This fully equipped beach is perfect for families as there are many amenities present with the area.

La Caleta beach is a beach in the eastern district in the city of Málaga, in Andalucía, Spain. It is an urban beach located on the eastern coast of the city between La Malaguetabeach and Baños del Carmen. It is a popular and frequented beach due to its central location.

At more than 1000 meters long with an average width of 25 meters, it has dark sand and moderate swells. It has areas with palm trees and grass that offer natural shade that make it a perfect place when the temperature is high.

Los Boliches is one of the suburbs of Fuengirola (along with Torreblanca, Carvajal, El Boquetillo and Los Pacos). Los Boliches has the best location on the eastern side of the Fuengirola center. It is a popular beach resort area with many hotels, restaurants, and bars.

Recorremos los 6 km que separan la Cueva de Nerja con el Collado de Apretaderos desde donde bajamos al Chillar por la Cuesta de los Galgos. Una vez en el Chillar lo remontamos hasta llegar a los Cahorros del Imán. En total 24 km andados con un desnivel positivo de 850 metros, una auténtica aventura.
