With a history going back to Phoenician and Roman times, Los Boliches has been and still is a fishing village and hold strongly with its traditions. The site of archaeological remains of a salting factory is a reminder of Los Boliches’ rich historic past. The Museo de Historia, found near Bioparc Fuengirola tells the rich history of Los Boliches town and its neighborhood.

This place enjoys some of the finest beaches in Fuengirola. Both spacious and easily accessible to all. It is home to well-integrated year round residents, both Spanish and foreign alike.

The Parish Church of Carmen y Santa Fé, located at the Avenida de los Boliches, is the center of the neighborhood and it is from there that the Virgin is carried during the Fiesta Virgen del Carmen, held each year on the 16th of July.

The Monument to the Peseta, located on the Paseo Marítimo de Fuengirola was created by local artist and sculptor José Gómez Guerreo in 2007. It was the first monuted created dedicated to the old currency that disappeared in 2002 due to the introduction of the Euro.
