Torremolinos is a municipality in the province of Malaga that in recent years has become one of the preferred locations on the Costa del Sol. Plaza Mayor Commercial Center is an open-air shopping haven with wide selection of apparel stores including famous global brands! The commercial center has more than 50 restaurants and bars that offer wide varieties of culinary cuisines.
Located at the edge of town, Plaza Mayor Málaga is close to the airport. It is worth a visit because it stands out from other shopping centers: the shops are located outside making it look more like a village than a typical shopping mall. More than 300 shops can be found and a lot of restaurants, cinemas, even a gas station. There are plenty of areas for recreation and leisure.
McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Málaga is the first designer outlet in southern Spain. It welcomes its customers with a careful selection of more than one hundred premium and luxury brands including fashion (Prada, Karl Lagerfeld, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, Armani, and Furla to name a few), sportswear, household items, and beauty and cosmetic products, among others. McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Málaga offers a varied offer of cafes and restaurants in the center itself.

This shopping center is perfectly connected to Málaga Costa del Sol airport thanks to the local train which is one stop away, or just 10 minutes by car. Torremolinos is located just 7 kilometers from the city of Málaga and right next to the attractive neighboring resort town of Benalmádena.
The town of Torremolinos has a happy, quirky, fun atmosphere and appeals to both young and old visitors. There are an abundance of shops and boutiques, and the best place to head is the main pedestrianised street of Calle San Miguel, where shops line up to sell you goods of all kinds.
It is also filled with color in the summer season, with over a thousand species of trees and flowers being planted in and around the towns streets, plazas and parks.
The old fishing district of El Bajondillo is found at the end of Calle San Miguel, at the bottom of a steep flight of stairs, here you will find some excellent seafood restaurants, souvenir shops and at the bottom is the beach of El Bajondillo.
The seafront promenade of Torremolinos stretches all the way to Benalmádena Marina and makes for a pleasant evening stroll, where you pass the old fishing village of La Carihuela.

The sections of the promenade known as Ruíz de Picasso and La Malagueta are located in the eastern part of the city, with a length of about 2.7 km.
This promenade, located just a few metres from the historic centre of Malaga, gives access to the most popular urban beaches of the city: La Malagueta, La Caleta and Pedregalejo.
The promenade leads eastwards to Baños del Carmen at Pedregalejo Beach.
La Malagueta is a central seafront district known for outdoor “chiringuito” bars and a busy maritime promenade. A portside row of Mediterranean restaurants, and ice cream parlors extends to the landmark La Farola lighthouse.
Different water sports activities are available during the summer season in this area. Hammocks and sun loungers can also be rented upon availability. Public restrooms and shower areas can located in different parts of the beach as well.

Málaga has remained unspoilt, largely untouched by mass tourism despite its bustling airport and rarely explored by sun-seeking visitors – despite the city itself being home to vast stretches of sandy beaches. These beaches share the soft sand and gentle Mediterranean surf of those found in Torremolinos, Marbella or Fuengirola, but what lies in front is more traditionally Spanish.
Málaga dots its paseo marítimo with several traditional chiringuitos, tapas bars and seafood restaurants; so, if this is your thing, visit, relax and enjoy the beach in the same manner as a local would.
The city’s location in south-western Spain ensures its weather is pleasantly warm all year round. In summer it gets hot, but not uncomfortably so like Sevilla and Córdoba, while winters are rarely cold.
The lengthy promenade throbs with activity throughout the year, attracting Málaga residents of all ages: black-clad older folk amble along, stopping intermittently to enjoy the horizon from the comfort of a shaded bench; fitness enthusiasts cycle, jog or roller-blade past, weaving in and out of the skateboarding or moped-riding teens that frequent the area in a refreshingly non-threatening manner.
In the stunning old town area of the city, Málaga’s rich history comes to life in the form of many intriguing and often spectacular sights. The excellent Picasso Museum (Pablo Picasso was born in Málaga) is one of the finest of its kind in Europe, while the majesty of the Alcazaba and the 14th century Gibralfaro Castle hints at a history defined by battle and glory. The beautifully baroque cathedral is flanked by fragrant gardens, a pretty café-lined square and the ever-present horse-drawn carriage stations.
The atmosphere in Málaga’s tightly woven cobbled streets – particularly during the hot summer months – is intoxicating, almost Bohemian, particularly in the vibrant Plaza de la Constitución and Soho district, while the boutiques and technology stores that populate the chic Calle Larios offer a glimpse of a city that has come to terms with its unique position at the heart of southern Spain’s premier tourist destination.
