Málaga is located in Andalucía, south of Spain. It is also known as “the capital of the Costa del Sol.” An estimate of six million tourists visit the city every year to enjoy the climate, the sea and its beaches. Málaga is also the largest and most populated coastal city in southern Spain.

This wonderful city has two thousand-eight hundred years of history and considered as one of the oldest cities in Europe. The city center of Málaga is a place where you can see lots of interesting places. Málaga is rich in culture, modernity and historical monuments.

“La Noche en Blanco”

La Noche en Blanco is a cultural and leisure event held in the city center in the wonderful city of Málaga. Annually celebrated in the middle of the month of May, it is a magical night that Malaga residents have been experiencing since 2008 and that has more followers every year.

It is organized and coordinated by the Área de Cultura y Patrinomio Histórico del Ayuntamiento de Málaga. This event is also supported by other municipal delegations and organizations, as well as private institutions.

La Noche en Blanco presents more than 200 activities in different spaces in the city. These activities include arts, museums and expositions, performing arts, music and dance, street arts, audiovisual arts, and “Nochecita en blanco” activities for kids.

At this nighttime festival of culture, fun for adults and children is guaranteed throughout the city. The adventure begins on Calle Larios, where we find the Information Point. Here we will discover everything you need to embark on the journey to this fantastic night.

Every year, La Noche en Blanco in Málaga deals with a different theme, and the activities are developed around this, as well as the decoration of the city. From 8 in the afternoon until 1 in the morning, museums, exhibition halls and art galleries open their doors so that citizens can discover their treasures in a totally different way than usual.

“Lo Mágico” (The Magical) has been the theme chosen by citizens for the celebration of La Noche en Blanco 2024 and “La magia está en ti” (The magic is in you) which represents the image of its fifteenth edition. The graphics of this edition are inspired by the surrealist work of the Belgian artist René Magritte (1898-1967), specifically, in the canvas ‘The Son of Man’ (1964), and has two complementary versions: man-woman or night-day.
