Torremolinos, one of the most popular destinations on Spain’s Costa del Sol, offers a lively mix of beaches, shopping, traditional neighbourhoods, seafood restaurants and local festivals. One of the best things to do in Torremolinos is explore Calle San Miguel, the town’s main pedestrianised shopping street, where visitors can browse a wide selection of shops, boutiques, cafés and souvenir stores. Its central location also makes it an excellent starting point for discovering the town.

At the end of Calle San Miguel, visitors can descend into El Bajondillo, one of the traditional fishing districts of Torremolinos. The area is known for its seafood restaurants, souvenir shops and easy access to El Bajondillo Beach. For a scenic coastal experience, the Torremolinos promenade stretches towards Benalmádena Marina, passing through La Carihuela, the former fishing village renowned for its seafood and relaxed seaside atmosphere.

The beaches of Torremolinos are among the town’s main attractions, providing plenty of opportunities to relax beside the Mediterranean. After a day by the sea, visitors can enjoy an evening stroll along the promenade or explore La Carihuela’s restaurants. The combination of beaches, traditional fishing heritage, shopping and dining makes Torremolinos an appealing destination for families, couples and visitors of all ages.

Another major attraction is the annual Torremolinos Fair, held in honour of Archangel Saint Michael around his feast day on September 29. The celebrations include live music, rociero choirs, parades, traditional paellas, sporting activities and cultural events. The Day Fair takes place around the town centre, including Plaza de La Nogalera, while the Night Fair moves to the Fairground on the Esplanade of San Miguel, with concerts, children’s entertainment, dancing and activities for all ages.
