Benalmadena is one of the most interesting areas on Costa del Sol. It has plenty of green areas, space, tourist attractions and the most beautiful sports harbour on the coast. It is divided into three urban areas: Benalmádena Pueblo, Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmádena Costa. The most worth visiting of these is Benalmádena Costa with its long stretch of sunny beaches, a lively nightlife and excellent cuisine.

Torremolinos is a municipality in the province of Malaga that in recent years has become one of the preferred locations on the Costa del Sol. Apart from enjoying the sea and the sand, travelers have the opportunity to visit the fishing district of “La Carihuela” and taste its local cuisine, which includes fried fish, the most famous dish in the region, in hundreds of restaurants and bars.

Calle San Miguel is one of the main shopping area’s of Torremolinos. This is a fantastic place to relax, have a drink in one of the many bar’s and browse the shop’s. With it’s central location and great atmosphere it makes a lovely street to walk down during the day or in the evening.
Really enjoyable shopping area, where anyone could find everything they need. From nice souvenirs to cosy clothes or useful things. It’s a touristy street but in some parts it has still some local ambience. But if you’re looking for some shops and good restaurants it’s the place to go (rather than the seaside promenade).

Lying just 25km to the south west of Malaga airport, the long established resort of Fuengirola is half way between Malaga city and Marbella. Together with Torremolinos and Benalmadena Costa it one of the the three mega-resorts which occupy this stretch of the Spanish coastline. Fuengirola is a crowded beach town decorated with utilitarian apartment buildings, but, despite half a century of rampant development, it retains a few redeeming qualities.

Malaga history
The urban metropolis is one of the oldest cities in the world, dating back to 770 bc. Originally a Phoenician settlement, called Malaka. Throughout the centuries it was occupied by the Carthaginians, Romans and Arab Maurer, until 1487 when it was conquered by the Christians.
More than 600,000 ‘Malagueños’ reside in this luminous Mediterranean city and in recent years the city has grown popular with foreign expats. Youngsters from all over the world come to Malaga to learn Spanish, many opting to stay on and live in the city. La Malagueta beach is located a kilometer from the central historical part of the city. The road to the beach runs through a palm grove along the sea and a promenade on the embankment with a large number of shops and cafes. The beach itself is large, sandy, free.
The territory with a length of more than a kilometer and a width of up to 50 m is equipped with comfortable recreation areas, islands of greenery with palm trees and lawns. There is a rental of sun beds, sun loungers, umbrellas, free shower. There are kiosks with ice cream, soft and sweet drinks, souvenir shops.
Has a blue flag. This means that the beach meets international quality standards. Spain has the largest number of blue flag beaches in the world.
This urban beach is ten minutes from the city centre in the La Malagueta neighbourhood next to Muelle Uno.

Benalmadena costa is one of the three main urban areas in Benalmadena. It has become one of Costa del Sol’s most essential locations, with its golden sandy beaches.
