The centre of Torremolinos is alive 365 days of the year. Its streets, full of stores and restaurants. Calle San Miguel is definitely the most famous street in the historic center of Torremolinos. It crosses the oldest part of the center, and passes an infinity of shops; from jewelers to fashion boutiques, souvenir shops to delicatessens. Calle San Miguel is entirely pedestrianized and characterized by people walking up and down at all hours of the day.
Torremolinos is a hilly resort and to get from sea level to the town centre means climbing 200 steps. Alternatively, you can use the municipal lift which is open all year and goes from plaza del Panorama (calle de las Mercedes) to plaza de los Tajillos and costs just 50cents per person. Right in the center of Torremolinos you will find Plaza De La Nogalera
Here is the train station with trains to The Airport and Malaga and it’s surrounded with several bars and restaurants.
Performances often take place on the stage in the middel of the square and in restaurants.
Midden in het centrum van Torremolinos vind je Plaza De La Nogalera
Hier is het Treinstation met treinen in de richting van de Luchthaven en Malaga en is omringd door diverse bars en restaurants. Op het podium op het plein vinden vaak optredens plaats.

Calle San Miguel is one of the main shopping area’s of Torremolinos. This is a fantastic place to relax, have a drink in one of the many bar’s and browse the shop’s. With it’s central location and great atmosphere it makes a lovely street to walk down during the day or in the evening.
Really enjoyable shopping area, where anyone could find everything they need. From nice souvenirs to cosy clothes or useful things. It’s a touristy street but in some parts it has still some local ambience. But if you’re looking for some shops and good restaurants it’s the place to go (rather than the seaside promenade).
