Málaga is a city and municipality of Spain, located in Andalucía, in the south of the country. An important tourist destination, Málaga is also known as “the capital of the Costa del Sol,” with an estimated 6 million tourists visiting the city every year.

It is the sixth most populous city in Spain, the second in Andalucía and the forty-sixth in the European Union. It is also the largest and most populous coastal city in southern Spain.

Due to the fact that the city presents a wide overlap of traces of the passage of civilizations throughout the centuries, both from the East and from the West in such a small urban space, Málaga has been declared a Historic Site. Remains from the eras of Phoenicians, Punics, Arabs, Romans, and etc., turn the city center into an authentic historical “palimpsest” in a way monuments such as the Roman Theater, the Cathedral, the Alcazaba, the Customs House, the Jewish Quarters and the rich underground archeological heritage coexist.

Calle Larios offers a mixture of well-known chain stores and boutiques for shopping, and cafeterías and ice cream parlors as well. Through its streets you can find more shops and restaurants and bars.

Málaga cuisine is a collection of all the gastronomy of the province and is part of the Mediterranean diet. The grilled sardines or “espetos,” anchovies or “boquerones”, both pickled and fried, and fried fish or “pescaíto frito” made with anchovies, mackerel, mullet, octopus or squid, are the most typical dishes but also include noodle casserole or “cazuela de fideos,” the gazpacho, the gazpachuelo, the migas, the Málaga salad, the ajoblanco, and the porra antequerana, among others. Málaga is also known for its sweet wines that have been produces since ancient times. Rum and brandy from Málaga are also traditional.

Malaga City Spain Latest Update September 2021 Summer in Paradise Costa del Sol | Andalucía [4K]

Málaga is located in Andalucía, south of Spain. The “capital of the Costa del Sol,” has an estimate of six million tourists visit the city every year to enjoy the climate, the sea and its beaches. Málaga is also the largest and most populated coastal city in southern Spain.

This marvellous city has two thousand-eight hundred years of history and considered as one of the oldest cities in Europe. A walk by the historic center is a must!

Málaga experienced the greatest civilizations of the Mediterranean, from the Phoenicians and the Greeks to the Romans, due to its strategic location of the port, a significant area along the trade routes since the ancient times.

Its history dates back to the Phoenician times, and later passed onto the Romans and Arabs who left part of their culture and constructions. The capital of the Costal del Sol, Málaga was in the end conquered by the Catholic Kings in the year 1487, leaving an incomplete cathedral due to the lack of funds back then, known as “La Manquita.”

Málaga has become without a doubt, a City of Museums, with thirty-seven museums mostly concentrated in the historic center. One of the most famous is the Picasso Museum which shows works by the one and only Picasso, born here in Málaga.

ONE DAY IN MALAGA (SPAIN) | 4K UHD | Ciudad del paraiso (the paradise city) | music by MeFree

One day of exploring this sunny and colorful city of Málaga located in southern Spain. Its history spans about 2,800 years, making it one of the oldest cities in Europe that fascinates with its mixture of ancient history and modern culture. Vicente Aleixandre, the Nobel Prize winner for literature, called Málaga “Ciudad del paraíso” – the paradise city.

I hope you enjoy the sights and that you like what you see. And of course I would be happy if you like and comment it, and please feel free to share the link to my video. Thanks a lot in advance.

Enjoy One Day in Malaga in 4K, presented in 2,35:1.
