Torremolinos dresses up in tradition throughout the month of December and the first days of January to welcome Christmas, the most special time of the year that our city lives with a barrage of activities, lights and a festive atmosphere from the first days of the month.

If you come to the town for Christmas, and you also do it as a family, you can enjoy a program of activities designed especially for the little ones in the house: storytelling, workshops, animations, attractions… You can visit Santa Claus Village and its lighting artistic.

The first to notice the arrival of Christmas in Torremolinos are the shops that will seek to make you fall in love with their colorful shop windows, nativity scenes, trees and offers so that this year you can buy your gifts here. The town becomes an open shopping center where you can buy everything.

In addition, every year the traditional Christmas Market is installed where you will find all kinds of products for Christmas decoration and original gifts from local artisans. A perfect occasion to do your Christmas shopping and accompany it with an aperitif or snack in the innumerable terraces, bars and cafes of Torremolinos.

The Giant Ball located in the Plaza Costa del Sol, and which this year is one of the novelties of Christmas, has also been illuminated for the first time tonight. The ball is 12 meters in diameter and has 42,700 LED lights that are programmed to achieve moving effects to the rhythm of the music. Weighing seven tons, its interior can be accessed through two doors. The light show can be seen from December 3 to January 6 at three times: at 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. daily.
