Storms in Spain caused school closures and train cancellations on Wednesday, two weeks after flash floods in Valencia and other parts of the country killed more than 220 people and destroyed thousands of homes.
In southern Malaga province, streets were flooded, while 3,000 people near the Guadalhorce River were moved from their homes as a preventive measure.
There were no reports of any deaths.
Spanish weather forecaster AEMET put Malaga on red alert, saying up to 70 millimetres (roughly 3 inches) of rain had accumulated in an hour.
The forecast in Malaga delayed the start of the Billie Jean King Cup tennis finals between Spain and Poland, which was set for Wednesday.
The storm system affecting Spain is caused by warm air that collides with stagnant cold air and forms powerful rain clouds.
Experts say that drought and flood cycles are increasing with climate change.

Torrox Costa is a popular seaside resort, which is linked to Torrox Pueblo, which is 4 kilometres inland from the coastal area.
The area is very popular with tourists during the summer, but still hasn’t got as built up as some of its counterparts of the Costa del Sol.
Much of the Torrox’s amenities: bars, restaurants and shops, can be found on the main Paseo Marítimo (promenade). During the summer market stalls set up selling various arts, crafts and souvenirs and there are supermarkets and banks in town for everyone’s convenience.
The town of Torrox offers a wide selection of good eateries and bars, the main leisure area being along the Paseo Maritimo and the side streets leading to the beach.
During the summer, some bars along the coast offer music shows and flamenco performances. And for the young at heart, there are a selection of pubs and discos.

Remarks: First day of “New Club Europe” Service
Thanks for finding my video and pressing play!
In this video, I take a British Airways Airbus A320 between Malaga Costa del Sol Airport and London Gatwick, in their Club Europe business class cabin.
Unbeknown to me, this flight took place on the first day of British Airways’ brand new Club Europe service. This “new” service has some winners and losers compared to the previous regime, but fortunately this flight’s one of the ones which has seen a significant improvement! Previously, this 1130 departure would have been a brunch flight, attracting only a cold continental meat plate. Now, there is a full lunch, with three courses (including a very tasty starter!).
Overall, this flight was a pleasant surprise, with significant improvements over what I was expecting.
