Fuengirola is one of the coastal towns with the best infrastructure on the Costa del Sol, and a fantastic destination if you are traveling with your family. In addition to having a series of wide sandy beaches along its seven kilometers of coastline, it also offers a zoo, a water park and a mini-amusement park near the city for the little ones to have a great time.

The beautiful promenade that separates the sandy beaches of Fuengirola and the city’s coastal road is not usually very crowded. Paved with its characteristic bricks, it is one of the longest promenades in Spain. It has an extension of seven kilometers that occupies most of the coast of the city, with fantastic views of the Mediterranean Sea. You can easily access any area of the beach, as well as the bars and restaurants along the promenade, which also has a bike lane shaded by rows of palm trees.

Fuengirola has large white sand beaches. Each of them offers a large area for sunbathing next to the Mediterranean Sea. In front of the Sohail castle, for example, you will find a beach that is usually quite calm. If you continue along the promenade, you will reach the beaches of Santa Amalia, the popular San Francisco, Los Boliches and Torreblanca, each of which has sun loungers and beach bars on the sand, as well as a good range of water activities.

At the Fuengirola marina you will find a variety of bars in which to hang out. During the summer months, especially on weekend afternoons, you are likely to see street musicians playing in this square.
