Benalmadena is divided into three main areas: Benalmadena Pueblo – with its traditional Andalusian white town charm; Arroyo de la Miel – the commercial and leisure center; and Benalmadena Costa – known for its beaches, promenade and vibrant Puerto Marina.
The attractions of Arroyo de la Miel are the Tivoli Amusement Park and a cable car (Teleferico) to the peak of the 769 meters high Calamorro Mountain, which offers panoramic views over the whole Mediterranean coast and Gibraltar and on clear days sights as far as Sierra Nevada and the African coast.

Great video, well done to whoever made it. I was out the week before to see the Feast of the 3 Kings on the 6th. of January. It actually took place on the 5th and I was very lucky to have seen it, as it was brought forward because of expected rain. Perhaps I am exaggerating but I would estimate in excess of 60,000 people were there to see the kids of the Town throwing sweets to the adults. So different to 40 years ago when there were a few trucks and a fire engine taking the kids around Arroyo. There is always something of interest happening in Arroyo. Those of you who visit Arroyo will be pleased to know that a New Grainier has opened near 'Manferga' roundabout. It is the perfect late afternoon suntrap. Mc Donalds had opened. Some of you might be horrified others will see it as a good thing. Please however use the existing 3 Spanish hamburger bars – 2 on the main road and the other round the back. They offer brilliant value for money – unbeatable, (there is also a Burger King on the main Road which is quite popular of an evening – but then you can get their type of Burger anywhere) – keep with the Spanish ones, there are good reasons why they have been there so long and so popular.. Just look at that sky – yes this is January in Arroyo. Brilliant. Again thanks to whoever made this.
