What to see, to do, and to eat in Malaga. This is my second 'first' visit to the city.

I’ve been to Malaga before, but never been to Malaga before. This time I explore the city, see the sights and enjoy the food (washed down by the occasional beer). #malaga #andalucia

What a great day trip from Malaga. Just 30 minutes from the centre of Malaga, a stunning hike into the mountains, but where is everyone? I have the place to myself.

40 gedachten over “What to see, to do, and to eat in Malaga. This is my second 'first' visit to the city.

  1. I can imagine if you're booking a triple room with inner courtyard view, a private toilet & shower, and they'll have someone waiting for you at the entrance, the kind of hotel one would expect is something maybe a tad fancier than that one.

  2. the dog poop sign a comment on Scottish football fans toilet habits

  3. I’ve booked to go to Malaga at the start of December. Was excited when I booked it…am even more excited now I’ve seen this video. Thanks very much Scott and keep up the good work!! 😀👏👏

  4. Perfect timing for this video, I’ll be there mid September and I’m super excited 🎉. Thanks 🙏🏻

  5. I know what to call my onion rings now! Nice video, was glad to see you eating that ice cream as you look very thin, keep on knocking back the calories! I didn't realise Malaga was in division 3 either so thanks for an informative video.

  6. Excellent video Scott, what a strange room and also the across the corridor bathroom !! Glad Steve's recommendation got a 10/10 from you ! 🙂

  7. After living there in Málaga for almost two years and having to leave it almost forcefully because of covid I have to say I really miss it and your video took me back to memory lane. It's great to see the city is full of life again and looking forward to returning there soon

  8. Try staying at the Ataranzanas hotel.. It's not expensive, but if you book it room only you will savefeven more then walk directly opposite the hotel in the morning to the Ataranzanas food market and eat there.. on the street… it's amazing.. 😂👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

  9. I'm the same when travelling, especially if it's an early start, I find it hard to sleep because I'm so excited. Your hotel must be using the word boutique with reference to its size rather than any aesthetic qualities. I like my hotel room to be part of the whole experience if I'm staying for a few days. I have stayed somewhere similar in Germany and as an overnighter it was OK.

  10. Great viďeo mate you went before summer which can be very hot as in sevilla ,granada and cordoue among other places down there ,the quick look at the market fruit prices are as expensive as in France but looked tourists orientated maybe the reason for the high prices, looking forward to your next video

  11. I love Malaga – and all of Andalucia actually. Haven't been for a few years. Your video has whet my appetite for a return later in the year when its a bit cooler there.

  12. Picasso was a very controversial man. I can't say I'd want a selfie with his statue…

Did we miss Scott say the cost of the accommodation…?

  13. No sniffing of fruits? I would never buy from that stall! How else can one find out if a fruit is ripe?

  14. I booked a trip to Malaga once when I just needed to get out of the UK and didn't care where. I expected it to be horrible tower block hotels full of pissed-up Brits turning pink outside pubs serving ham egg and chips. I found that in Torremolinos, God-awful place, but Malaga was a really pleasant surprise.

  15. Loved malaga went in November for a business conference
Stayed at the pod hostel just down from where your staying.

  16. I love Malaga it's one of the great "wandering" around cities

  17. Fab video, I love those parts of Spain. We went to Montserrat last year (check it out would make a great video destination) and the scenery is so dramatic as is the steep train ride up to the top!

  18. That was brilliant Scott my idea of heaven. A few beers after your hike would of gone down well

  19. Hi Scott. Great hiking trip, but i must admit,i like your home land scenery WAY better than this "dry" boring one😂..I guess thats cause i live in the middle east, where even green is never actually green.🤔.Like the saying goes: if you can count the trees in a forest–it's not a real forest.

  20. Hmmm…off the well-trodden trail, hiking alone in a warm climate in unsuitable footwear and relying on phone signal while in the unfamiliar countryside…some interesting decisions here. Can't help wondering why at the very least you don't just buy a map of the area you're exploring? It's a claimable business expense after all…

  21. great video as usual scott but i think you should take your viewers up the whangie at the back of the kilpatricks as its every bit as interesting as that first ravine you were in.

  22. I like all your videos, but I'm living in Spain for some time now and therefore I really enjoy your videos from your travels in Spain 👍🏻😃. Your videos are really good, keep up the good work from. 😃👏🏻😃

  23. I appreciate the effort you put into this walk but the picture quality is way off. It's a shame as it looked like one of your best adventures but I was seeing pixelated blocks on my screen. It sounds like you had plenty of water and you put your hat on too so respect to you for being sensible.

  24. Scott…please don’t get hot and sunburned and don’t get lost during your hike 😮🥵

  25. I too have been reminded of how fragile we humans are when it comes to taking off into the wilds hiking on ones own in the blistering heat. Whilst I enjoy your forays immensely, please do be careful Scott.

  26. I live just outside of Málaga but have never visited this area. I must change that. On a day when it's not too hot!

  27. This video reminds me of home. I’m from Perth Australia and the landscape is identical to where I grew up.

  28. Good video, but easy to see how you can get lost in the heat even a short distance from civilization. RIP Michael Mosely

  29. Loving this video, always nice to see away from the main resorts. J is pronounced "ch" as in Loch if you want to improve your Spanish. I'm just learning for my next trip to Barcelona.

  30. Just before the end, you showed (accidentally) a rooftop full of radio aerials – I'd say that was either the local broadcasting station or an embassy!

  31. We've got a Scotts man…exotic….lol love it xxx STAY SAFE

  32. Thank you for your great videos. Please take care when walking in that heat while alone. Hope you let someone know where you are heading.

  33. Sunny side eggs for breakfast and potatoes always enjoyable for me. Coffee too. ☕☕

  34. Nice one, Scott, but please: don't hike alone and get some decent walking boots that support your ankles! 😲
