Torremolinos used to be a small fishing village now turned into a large densely-populated town committed to sun and sand tourism that showcases large beaches and facilities related to it.

The origins and name derive from a watchtower (torre) and the mills (molinos) built there to grind wheat, positioned perpendicularly to the ocean in order to harness the hydraulic power generated by the water flowing into it.

Boasting an enviable mix of green spaces, cultural sights and coastal views, Torremolinos is an ideal destination for your next summer holiday. More than just warm Mediterranean coastline, the resort region has a rich blend of family activities as well as a beating nightlife for young travellers.

Torremolinos has many amazing seafood restaurants and hotels along the waterfront of La Carihuela neighborhood. The pedestrian-only Calle San Miguel is a bustling shopping district that leads directly to Playa El Bajondillo.
