We took a trip to the Sol Timor Apartments in Montemar which is near Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol in Spain. We went for 18 nights from 11th March to 29th March 2024. This was to include St Patricks Day celebrations there. This video includes a room tour and some of the surrounding area.
As we have visited this area on numerous occasions we have got friendly with people who live there. One of our friends, Peter Hall, who was an entertainer in the area took ill shortly before our arrival. We did get to see him in hospital but he sadly passed away whilst we were there.
Apart from this tragic event we still enjoyed our trip.
In the Montemar area of Torremolinos the Sol Timor Apartamentos are just 650 ft from the beach. They have a large outdoor swimming pool.The Sol Timors apartments have balconies with sea views and satellite TV. The kitchens have stove microwave toaster and fridge.Around the pool is a terrace with lounge chairs and sun umbrellas. The Sol Timor also has tennis courts and a range of activities for children.The hotels buffet-style restaurant serves breakfast lunch and dinner. The beach restaurant serves classic dishes such as paella while the poolside bar serves snacks all day. There is also a cafe bar open all day.The Sol Timor has an on-site grocery store and is surrounded by dining and entertainment facilities. A bus stop nearby takes you to Mlaga while Mlaga Airport is only 3 miles away.

A guide to the gay scene in Torremolinos, Spain.
Often overlooked, maybe due to the long standing reputation as a throw back from the 1970’s and Watney’s Red Barrel, Torremolinos has a fantastic gay scene that rivals Madrid, Sitges and even Gran Canaria.
