On our road trip in Andalucía (South Spain) we of course had to hike the El Caminito del Rey, just an hour away from Malaga. Once known as the “walk of death”, with 100m deep jaw-dropping cliffs, mountains, bridges, and canyons. No surprise this 7.7km path once was the world’s most dangerous hike! El caminito del rey – the path (small road) of the king – would suggest it cannot be dangerous, because its fit for a king. Fear of depth – I know people with an extreme version of that fear and they might freeze motionless, fall to the "floor" in the middle of the path. What would they do to help such people … ?
That said, has that king ever walked that path? Or was he walking in the sky and after that they made the path where he had "walked"?
