Torremolinos is a municipality in the province of Malaga that in recent years has become one of the preferred locations on the Costa del Sol. Apart from enjoying the sea and the sand, travelers have the opportunity to visit the fishing district of “La Carihuela” and taste its local cuisine, which includes fried fish, the most famous dish in the region, in hundreds of restaurants and bars.

Defined by its summer beach scene, La Carihuela draws locals and tourists for its weather along with the spectacular sea views, hutlike chiringuitos that serve local cuisines, and different water sports activities. Kiosks, rental services of sunbeds and water equiment such as pedal boats are available for every holidaymakers.
Located between the beaches of La Carihuela and Playamar is El Bajondillo. It is an impressive expanse of beach 40 meters wide and 1 kilometer long, right in the center of the town and one of the most visited. Definitely an urban beach, it is highly rated by residents and tourists due to its variety of services.
Any time of the year tourists can enjoy the sea breeze. The beach restaurants provide different types of local fish cuisines freshly caught within the day!

More than 6 kilometers long, Torremolinos’s beachfront promenade features a bike path and bio-healthy workout equipment.
The section closest to the city center is known as the Paseo Maritimo de los Alamos, while the section closest to the port is known as Paseo Maritimo de la Carihuela.
Just before you reach Puerto Marina, you’ll reach a connection with Benalmádena’s promenade.
This municipality’s high development density along the shore can be attributed to Torremolinos’ status as the Costa del
Sol’s tourist hub. To avoid the congestion, head in the direction of Malaga. There are fewer buildings and more space for walking or biking.
