After many grey months of cloudy cold weather, we needed some warmth in our life! We hopped on a plane to Malaga, Spain from Germany. We spend a little over a week exploring the area and soaking up the sun. We are releasing some of our videos from our trip to Spain (from early March). This video was filmed before we arrived back in Germany and before a lot of sensitive event occurred. A lot has happened in such a short period. It takes time to edit a video, so this was filmed a in early March, just to add some clarity to our timeline. 🙂

Personally, I think you should live in either Germany, near Phil's parents or in the US near Deana's parents. When you have a baby, you will appreciate the free babysitting.

Have been to spain but prefer the islands majorca/mallorca and tenerife andlanzarote if u ever get to tenerife go to mt teide wow 12000 ft the cable car is great.
We moved to Barcelona in 2012 and never looked back. You should definitely do it if you can. Also, rent is super cheap in southern Spain. Idealista is the main website used in Spain, you can look around a bit and get an idea: https://www.idealista.com/en/alquiler-viviendas/malaga-malaga/mapa

Your videos are always so incredible. My girlfriend and I are also at a bit of a strange time in life and we are thinking of moving overseas for a change. Both live here in Southern California and are thinking about moving to Germany or Austria for a year or two. Good luck on your quest to find where you want to live next.
I alway make Mallorca, because its so cheap here in Berlin. In winter almost every week I get up 4.45 and am at home around midnight, having 7 hours in Spain for around 25 Euros round trip.Or I go one ,two nights with bike and tent. That really helps a lot during the not only very cloudy but much darker than south Germany winters here.The good thing is, now I know the only working beach shower near Palma the Mallorca during winter season.How is the winter in Deanas home town compared to Phils ?

So, I guess you have a lot of time to figure out if you want to move to Spain. I say: Go for it!
As a German living in the UK, I am lucky to be able to travel freely in Europe even after 2020, but I have heard from a few Brits who are very upset that they have lost the right to move (as in reside) freely. They had to make a choice. So, move to Spain, rent something for 3-6 months, and try it!
