Torremolinos (Málaga) is a former fishing village on the Costa del Sol, which turned into a popular resort in the middle of the 20th century. Spaniards and residents of other European countries, especially the British, like to come here.
Torremolinos has existed for about 20 centuries, as evidenced by archaeological excavations. In the 14th century, the Arabs built many mills here, and next to them – a tower to protect against enemies. It was called Torre de los Molinos – “the tower at the mills”, hence the name of the settlement.
