Eleven tonnes of jellyfish removed from Costa Del Sol beaches – Daily Mail

Around eight tonnes were collected from the shore between the eastern resort of Nerja and Velez-Malaga just east of Malaga and another three tonnes between Torremolinos and Mijas. The situation was getting back to normal yesterday after a wipe-out weekend described as one of the worst since 2012. The jellyfish have been identified as mauve stingers, whose stings are said to produce a burning sensation, intense pain, inflammation and red rashes.

Costa del Sol

Without doubt the Costa del Sol is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Stretching from Almeria to Tarifa, it caters for all tastes, ages and nationalities; with such a wide range of facilities and attractions, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Miles of sandy beaches, fantastic all year round warm climate and modern facilities keep tourists flocking back year after year to resorts such as Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella
and Estepona.

East of Malaga is less popular than west, but no less appealing, from Rincon de la Victoria, Torre del Mar and Velez Malaga, to Nerja; the area combines beautiful coastline, with
white-washed villages and some of the most spectacular inland scenery of the Axarquía.?❤ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_zda-Qf0SI&list=PLwjieA_tumh0FOPplPOcUALvaPyvOLc_T

Costa del Sol, Spain. Weather and beaches during October November.

Costa del Sol, Spain. Weather and beaches during the months of October and November are wonderful. Clear blue skies, empty beaches and temperatures around 25 degrees centigrade.

The pictures in this compilation are all taken in the town of Fuengirola, situated along the Costa del Sol. Fuengirola, as with most of the Costa del Sol, is a very popular destination for many holidaymakers.

If you’re a beach lover, you’ll find the only problem in the summer months is that the beach sand is so hot it burns the soles of your feet!
