La Malagueta Beach in Malaga (Andalusia), between the Port of Málaga and La Caleta beach is one of the most famous beaches for both tourists and locals. This urban beach is near from the city centre in the La Malagueta neighbourhood next to Muelle Uno. It has ample leisure and entertainment offerings, as well as services like sunbed and beach umbrella rentals and sailing equipment. The beach has a children’s play area that turns it into a perfect place for a family fun day. Many foreigners usually come here, perhaps because of its proximity to the center of Malaga

This beach is next to the Real Club Mediterráneo de Málaga, Spain’s oldest yacht club and has been awarded the Blue Flag, a distinction awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education.

La Carihuela, an old fishing district located to the southwest of Torremolinos municipal area, has become one of the most visited summer destinations in Costa del Sol. Its inhabitants relied on the fruits of the sea until the explosion of the tourist boom in the 50s, during that time the development of restaurant businesses began which is mainly based on fish and the famous fried fish or “pescaíto frito.” La Carihuela draws locals and tourists for its weather along with the spectacular sea views, hutlike chiringuitos that serve local cuisines, and different water sports activities.

El Bajondillo, on the other hand is located between the beaches of La Carihuela and Playamar. It is an amazing expanse of beach 40 meters wide and 1 kilometer long, right in the center of the town and one of the most visited. An urban beach, it is highly rated by residents and tourists due to its variety of services. Any time of the year tourists can enjoy the sea breeze. El Bajondillo is an emblem of Torremolinos, known for its authenticity and tradition.
