Benalmádena is a lovely town. I stayed there October to end of January, until I bought a place in Calahonda. The building I lived in is actually just behind you at 3:15.
What I liked about Benalmádena is that it’s small but has bit of a cosmopolitan vibe. The forty minute train ride to Málaga is also a bonus. The pueblo is adorable, similar to Mijas pueblo. Estepona is also a great town.
