Torremolinos is a municipality in Andalusia, southern Spain, west of Málaga. A poor fishing village before the growth in tourism began in the late 1950s, Torremolinos was the first of the Costa del Sol resorts to be developed and is still the most popular in the region. It is particularly popular with British, Irish and Scandinavian tourists and has a large British expatriate population.

Today, La Carihuela remains a world reference beach. A place of modern tourist facilities, but also of respect for its seafaring origin. The streets of this neighborhood still maintain its fishing tradition, its humble origins and the certainty that there hides the soul of Torremolinos.

Some of the small houses and shacks that gave birth to the neighborhood of La Carihuela still survive. The beach is one of the busiest of the entire Costa del Sol: its characteristics and services make it one of the most desired to relax and enjoy a good rest, but also to taste the best fried fish. An authentic paradise for all the senses.
