El Museo Picasso Málaga cumple 15 años desde su inauguración el 27 de octubre de 2003, reivindicándose como impulso cultural y económico de la ciudad y alcanzando más de 6,19 millones de visitas en este tiempo.

El consejero de Cultura, Miguel Ángel Vázquez; el presidente del Consejo Ejecutivo del Museo Picasso, Bernard Ruiz Picasso; el presidente de la Fundación Unicaja, Braulio Medel; y el director artístico del museo, José Lebrero, han presentado este viernes los actos con motivo del aniversario de la pinacoteca, coincidiendo todos en la importante repercusión del museo en el desarrollo de la ciudad.

El presidente del Consejo Ejecutivo del Museo Picasso Bernard Ruiz-Picasso ha destacado cómo ha cambiado la ciudad en los últimos 15 años y la importancia que tiene la cultura en Málaga.

El director artístico del museo, José Lebrero, ha subrayado que la ciudad “ha crecido en sentido positivo en sus contenidos, en su reputación” y ha precisado que la programación por el aniversario no se centra en los días del 8 al 11 de octubre, sino que se prolongará hasta principios del próximo año.

El presidente de la Fundación Unicaja, Braulio Medel, ha indicado que la pinacoteca significó para los malagueños conseguir algo que tenía que llegar y llegó.

The artistic director of the museum, José Lebrero, stressed that the city “has grown in a positive sense in its content, in its reputation” and pointed out that the programming for the anniversary does not focus on the days of October 8 to 11, but it will continue until the beginning of next year.
