NERJA on Spain’s Costa Del Sol is the site of the famous Balcón de Europa, the “Balcony of Europe” – a viewpoint out across Nerja Beach to the Mediterranean Sea.
In this walking tour of NERJA, we explore the lanes full of shops and cafes, see a piece of the famous Cava de Nerja (Nerja caves) mounted like a statue on Calle Pintada, gaze out over the Balcony itself to enjoy the wide views and then head down to the secluded beach of Playa de Salón.
The Plaza by the Balcony of Europe itself is a great place to people watch as you drink coffee, listen to local musicians or just watch the local parakeets in the palm trees.
