La Carihuela Beach, in Torremolinos, is located 18 km from the city center, and ranges from Bajondillo beach to the Benalmadena Marina.

With an extension of 2,100 m in length and an average width of 40 m, La Carihuela beach is considered the most extensive beach in Torremolinos. Its volcanic origin makes the sand of this beach a dark color, while the tide is usually calm.

Despite being located in what is now considered the cosmopolitan area of the town, La Carihuela Beach still retains the charm of what was once the typical Andalusian village. Its name is due to the old fishing district that was located in this area.

If Carihuela Beach stands out for something, it is because of the number of nearby restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy the typical Malaga fried fish or numerous dishes of traditional cuisine.

For all this, it is no surprise that La Carihuela beach is one of the most attractive places in Torremolinos.
