Los dos magistrados designados por el Ejecutivo, el magistrado de la Audiencia Nacional y exministro de Justicia Juan Carlos Campo y la ex directora general del Ministerio de Presidencia Laura Díez, y los dos nombrados por el CGPJ, el magistrado del Tribunal Supremo (TS) César Tolosa y de la magistrada jubilada del TS María Luisa Segoviano, que ya han jurado el cargo frente al jefe del Estado, tomarán posesión del mismo el 9 de enero en la sede del Constitucional. The beautiful city of Málaga, in Andalucía, Spain, welcomed Christmas this Saturday with the switching on of the new lighting in Calle Larios. Sixteen (16) ‘Heavenly Angels’ take over the ‘Christmas Forest’. Four meters high, the figures, designed by Iluminaciones Ximénez, will shine every day to the sound of the melodies of ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Carol of the Bells’, among others, in a show that will have three screenings, at 7:00 p.m. , 8:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

The angels from Málaga, who keep the eyes of locals and tourists looking towards the sky, will welcome the center until January 6. Thirty-two (32) lateral columns support them, which are covered by bursts of glitter and sequins made of gold and crystals. Standing four meters tall, these angels have 12-meter-long tails, and are designed with effervescent effects, starting in warm white and ending in pure white, like trails that melt as they pass and embellished with dichroic leaf sparkles for the day.

The streets San Juan, Molina Lario and eleven cross streets of Calle Larios have a special decoration based on chandeliers. Along the central San Juan street there are three different spaces that recreate a ‘Magic Cave’, a ‘Wicker Sky’ and a ‘Spider Hall’ as a light performance with garlands of lights.

Around 1,350,000 points of light illuminate the more than 500 decorated streets and roundabouts in Málaga during Christmas, around 80 correspond to emblematic areas. In total there are more than one and a half million LED light points that bring the Christmas spirit to the city.

In ‘Magic Cave’ the walker will have the sensation of going “through the interior of a cavern”. Looking up, the stalactites will be discovered as hanging lighting elements, using 300 linear meters of microled garlands.

For its part, the ‘Wicker Sky’ area will offer the sensation of running along a path with a natural cloak of this plant material. It is completed with rustic Edison-style artisan bulbs that offer a warm light “with a rustic and traditional touch.”

Instead, the concept of the ‘Spider Hall’ transports you to a baroque chamber. You will be able to perceive the warmth of the candle bulbs and the coldness of the sparkling frosted glass.

Although the music shows can only be enjoyed three times every afternoon, the lights will be on from 6:30 p.m. to midnight from Monday to Friday, and until 2:00 a.m. on weekends and the eve of holidays.
