Málaga is a municipality, capital of the Province of Málaga, in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, Spain. With a population of 571,026 in 2018, it is the second-most populous city of Andalusia and the sixth-largest in Spain. It lies on the Costa del Sol (Coast of the Sun) of the Mediterranean, about 100 kilometres (62.14 miles) east of the Strait of Gibraltar and about 130 km (80.78 mi) north of Africa.
Málaga’s history spans about 2,800 years, making it one of the oldest cities in Europe and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Málaga was founded about 770 BC by the Phoenicians as Malaka. From the 6th century BC the city was under the hegemony of Ancient Carthage, and from 218 BC, it was ruled by the Roman Republic and then empire as Malaca (Latin). After the fall of the empire and the end of Visigothic rule, it was under Islamic rule as Mālaqah (Arabic: مالقة) for 800 years, but in 1487, the Crown of Castille gained control after the Reconquista. The archaeological remains and monuments from the Phoenician, Roman, Arabic and Christian eras make the historic center of the city an “open museum”, displaying its history of nearly 3,000 years. o is showing Malaga walking tour city centre main street shops, market Costa del Sol Spain. How do we afford to stay every month in different cities, in real style and and on a modest wage? Well, this unusual way is almost free: – http://bit.ly/livingwalks
Join us for this virtual city walk through Malaga on the Costa Del Sol. We begin our 4k walking tour facing the 16th Century baroque cathedral, Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga.
We enter Plaza Del Obispo (Bishop’s Square) to see the beautifully coloured Palacio Episcopal and the well placed restaurants and bars. We leave the square and turn up Calle Sta. María with Malaga Cathedral still on our right. We stop to explore its grounds before continuing along Calle San Agustín. Cafes and bars of all kinds line this street, being the location of the Picasso Museum (Picasso Museum Málaga.)
We visit El Pimpi, perhaps Malaga’s most famous bodega bar and exit onto Calle Alcazabilla. It is here that we encounter the magnificent Roman Amphitheatre (Teatro Romano) with the Alcazaba, a hilltop medieval fortress standing high above.

We start this Malaga City walking tour by Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga (Malaga Cathedral.) Lit up at night, this is high on the Malaga top ten things to see.
As we turn down Calle Santa Maria, we encounter some of the Malaga City restaurants and shops before arriving at Constitution Square, (Plaza de la Constitución.) A canopy of lights covers the Calle Marqués de Larios as it leads down towards the seafront – offering a chance for a bit of Malaga night shopping.
We however, take a wander through the small sides, passing some of the many Malaga City bars – experiencing Malaga’s nightlife as we head towards the many bars and cafes on Plaza de la Merced.

Join us for a walk through the beautiful streets of Estepona Spain.
With 21 km of coastline, this town is famous for its beautiful beaches which makes it an ideal holiday resort. Street cafes, tapas bars that serve traditional Spanish delicacies and colorful flower pots all around Estepona’s streets will win you over.
Take a stroll to the Old Town to visit The San Luis castle (Castillo de San Luis). It dates back to the 15th century when Queen Isabella I ordered its building to protect the town from the Moorish invaders. You will notice that each street here has its own color scheme. The locals take great pride in their charming traffic-free Old Town.
Here’s another interesting fact for you: back in the 1990s, the Walt Disney Company selected Estepona to be the original site for its Eurodisney project. However, Paris, France was later awarded the installation.
